POSITION: Educational Officer

RESPONSIBLE TO: National President

DATE: August 2005

VISION: To facilitate and nurture the evolutionary journey of all beings

THE POSITION:

The purpose of the position is to carry out the Educational aspects of the Vision statement using the Principles of Action (attached) Draft 1 Section 3 of strategic plan 26.4.02

  • Proportionate funds between study courses, training courses, and advertising

Professional member of the Theosophical Society team

  • Displays open, honest communication with the Manager

  • Feedback from Lodges (Branches), Headquarters members, Study Groups.



Contributes ideas that reflect the objectives of the Society


  • Informs the manager of study course and training course ideas





Liaise effectively with Administration Committee



  • Works in co-operation with Administration Committee to achieve Society’s objectives

  • Positive attitude to work environment

  • No personal grievances are lodged and if any are, they are unsustainable



Recognises and accepts the responsibilities for regularly attending on-going training



  • Attends applicable courses to ensure professional behaviour reflects current practice

Market Theosophical Society study material.



  • Feedback system with each marketing plan

Be responsible for appropriate Training Courses

Make sure that appropriate Training Courses are made available and offered to Lodges (Branches), Headquarters Members and Study Groups.



  • Feedback from Lodges (Branches).

  • Feedback from Headquarters Members.

  • Feedback from Study Groups.

Co-ordinate and convene Training Courses to coincide with Convention, N.Z. School of Wisdom, National Council Meetings and any other training weekend suggested by the National Council.

To be responsible for the co-ordination of any Education Outreach Programmes facilitated by the N.Z. Section
