NATIONAL SPEAKER PROGRAMME (this at present is questionable)

  • Begin process around August

  • Using feedback from branches re meeting dates, times, choice of speakers, preferred frequency make up a north and south island national speaker table

  • Coordinate with national president suitability of new speakers

  • Tentatively invite speakers to speak the following year and ask them which months and areas would best suit them

  • Coordinate speakers’ answers with branch’s feedback.

  • Do a trail budget to make sure you fit in with the amount Convention has allocated you.

  • Confirm with speakers their tour.

  • Confirm with branches their speakers (always ensure that the branch understands they are an autonomous body and do not have to accept who HQ sends and that circumstances can change – speakers may pull out for personal reasons and a replacement will not be necessarily sent)

  • Send to the secretary a copy of the speakers itinerary

  • Send to Eileen Styra for advertising – the speakers name, topic with a brief description, date and time of meeting. This must be done at least 2 months in advance

  • Posters preferably to be out to branches with itinerary 3 weeks in advance. (via HQ Secretary)
