1 This is inspired by and adapted from an invocation in Geoffrey Hodson's book The Coming of the Angels, in the chapter described as a communication from an Angel of Love. An extract from the chapter is given below: 2 If doing this in a physically present group, choose somebody to lead the group through the stages and say the invocation. 3 If doing this as a physically separate group, agree on a time to do it, and begin by tuning into the others. 4 If doing this alone, you can leave out the group-related actions. 5 Discussing the focus for each invocation, if you are physically together, or thinking about the agreed focus, is an important part of the lead up to the invocation. 6 This focus for this invocation is the nation, but it could also be adapted for other situations - a group of people or an organisation, or simply an individual. 7 It is important that this invocation be used regularly - preferably daily - to maximise the effect and reach the critical mass required to initiate change. 8 For some situations, one session on a given focus will be enough. For others, repeated sessions will be necessary. You will get to sense the needs of different situations. 9 The group can create a list of other situations to work through and focus on, one per session. 10 The impact of this kind of work increases at something like the square of the number of people involved, if they are together or at least in tune at the same time, so every additional person makes a difference out of all proportion to the numbers. 11 The group will get more attuned to working as a group as time goes on, increasing the effectiveness further. 12 Consider alternating between the two forms of the invocation, ie one in one session and the other in the next session, so that the same focus gets both kinds of energy.
Other thoughts you might like to have in mind during the invocation to the Divine Mother, are: You of the mature wisdom of Kwan Yin, The playfulness of Tara, The joy and wonder of first love, The irresistible swelling of the bud,...
