The National Council is made up of the Presidents of Branches of the The Theosophical Society in New Zealand Inc. Presidents (or there delegates representative). They meet two or three times a year to discuss policy and direction of the NZ Section.

The National Council has also established several working groups:

• Editorial Advisory
• Funding opportunities
• Publicity
• Education and Training
• Network and Outreach
• Convention Planning
