The Christchurch Branch of the Theosophical Society (an incorporated Charitable Trust) closed down in November 1999. However there are still T.S. members in Christchurch who are interested in studying theosophy. On occasion they come together for a meeting and study. They have formed themselves into a Study Group and have the support of the National Section.

The National Section sends the occasional speaker to Christchurch for members' and public talks.
